That's not what I inferred from "It is, however, not difficult to have a
USB device reset itself and then change its answer when re-initialized."
Designing a device to do that may be trivial; converting a device that
doesn't into one that does might not be.

Regardless, my quick perusal of how the BadUSB code works indicates that
it does not do anything of the sort. It's an all or nothing change. It
may be possible to use the BadUSB code to make some devices work as you
describe but the code as it currently is does not appear to do so.
