I think we may see similar devices in the future, but it depends much on
the success of the Surfaceand how other manufacturers are able to
implement it. HP once had a convertible tablet/keyboard laptop, so
Microsoft may not have the Patent monopoly. Tablets are excellent
portable devices where you generally don't need a table. With a table,
you generally want to stand it up and add a keyboard.
It is going to be a fun year in this industry.
