[Discuss] Why are all my hard drives slow on Ubuntu? (new computer)

Thanks! I've never used hdparm before, so I'm not sure what to poke. Here
are the current settings. Any suggestions on changes?

$ sudo hdparm /dev/sda /dev/sdb
