Most companies I have worked for require that the workstation be locked
whenever you leave it. In reality I have never really complied. However,
I am now required to remove my workstation from the desk and lock it up
in a drawer over night. Basically, workstation security is important
because you all have access to important information. I don't 100% agree
with Bill that you should log off whenever you leave your desk for a few
minutes, but certainly logging off overnight is a very good policy. I
don't know who is wondering around the office late at night. At Digital,
I remember seeing one of the mail room clerks sitting at someone's
workstation.
