Besides LACP, which behaves as described...
There are also multipathing protocols, which behave as desired.
I don't know precisely how it works, but it's something like... Suppose you
have 2 servers, each with 4x 1Gb ports. You configure a separate IP address
for each port. You somehow configure server1 to know that all 4 of these IP
addresses belong to server2, so server1 will "stripe" all its data sends
across 4 interfaces. Naturally this needs to be supported at both the
sender and recipient.
