It gets expensive when you need to convert dual-link dvi to displayport,
there are cheaper adapters that do single-link dvi to dp -- I have one
that cost me all of $35, and lets me hook up any dvi computer to my 24"
Apple mini-dp display (1920x1200 resolution). Was a ByteCC model from
newegg, iirc. Anything higher resolution does require dual-link though,
if I'm thinking clearly.
