I use Linode right now, and while I had some flaky experiences when I
started out (when they were just starting to use Xen hosting, my virtual
host would just crash for no reason I could discern), I have had no
trouble with them for at least a year.
Before I signed on with Linode, I used openhosting.com, which provided
excellent service and a “utility pricing” model. The only reason I
dropped openhosting.com was because at the time, they only offered
CentOS, and I pined for Debian.
