Novell owns nothing in BSD Unix and it's decendents. Let's just get that out of the way. :)
What Novell owns is the AT&T System V source code inherited from the partnership with USL, less whatever code is actually owned by BSDi due to code misappropriation by USL, plus the extensions that UnixWare brought to SVR4, plus whatever SCO added to UnixWare and OpenServer, less whatever SCO and Caldera misappropriated from BSD and Linux. Novell also "owns" all the legal mess that accompanies UNIX System V. :)
