cpu, memory, bandwidth monitor applet

hi all.

i'm using windows a more lately and i'm trying to find a system monitor 
applet similar to the gnome applet.  i googled but everything i found 
was from somebody i've never heard of (and don't trust) or cost money (i 
trust them even less).  anybody know of such a program for xp?  or is 
there a windows equivalent to 'top'?  with all the stuff i have running 
on my home workstation it's nice to have that constant info.  minimizing 
task manager isn't amusing enough.  thanks for any tips.
