I forgot to mention: I tried hard links, but that failed. A "normal"
hard link failed with "hard link not allowed for directory" and using
the "-d" option as root to force it gave me "Operation not permitted".
I was creating the hardlinks in the kidfriendly directory on the server;
that directory is exported (and mounted on a mountpoint of similar name
on the client). All machines involved are Linux; CentOS on the server
and Fedora 10 on the client.
