I'm thinking of launching a MythTV distro website

If you really want to amalgamate the information, I suggest doing a
'un-authorized Myth' that really does not do a new distro, but links in
others, and puts the docs into a coherent and usable form.

You might also have a 'newbies start here' cookbook section.
Where you would suggest inexpensive, reliable, easy to acquire hardware
and settings that support it. (Google adds so advertisers can throw money here)

optional sections could include sections on
appliance - I just want one that works with little effort section
dilettante - An appliance on steroids because I have a big home
theater and I want it to be even bigger and better. Possibly with
    relatively simple DIY hooks.
semi-pro - How can I hook this up to my drive in theater and have
    an immersion experience.
hardcore hacker - I want to roll my own from scratch... Where is the
soldering iron?

Ok just some thoughts.

Personally I want one that is inexpensive (to get it
through the SO budgeting process) and reliable (so I don't have to dink to much
with it if I don't want to), and un-obtrusive (small, quiet, reliable) and works
'seamlessly' for the SO and others to think it is more than 'just
another gadget/remote'.
