I have a client in northern MA with openings for engineers with Linux
experience. Details of each position below.
Jr to Mid level Engineer
Embedded C++ development experience in an RTOS environment, experience
with multiprocessor software development and familiarity with
communications equipment. This role often involves working as part of a
small team or independently for both development and support of our
existing software through the software release cycles
Required:
* Minimum of 3+ yrs of experience that includes embedded
systems, RTOS, Compact PCI, 'C/C++' programming, object oriented design
skills, debugging and resolving defects.
* Ideal candidate should have some experience in embedded RTOS
(VxWorks 5.4/5.5; Linux Kernel understanding; Linux File System), Linux
Firmware Management and system services such as inter-process
communication, chassis management, redundancy and some embedded network
management (CLI, SNMP, XML).
* Knowledge of data communications, computer network protocols
(ex: TCP/IP, Ethernet, T1/E1, PPP).

Mid to Sr level Engineer
Candidate should really know Linux from the kernel level
Experience porting from Vxworks to Linux
Deep understanding of packet handling, optimization of device drivers
Someone who enjoys the Linux groups as a hobby as well
Experience with network processors and/or wireless experience
