There were huge changes to ATA from 2.6.15-2.6.20. 2.6.18 added
Native Command Queuing (NCQ for SATA). I noticed that 2.6.18 reported
errors from hdparm -t /dev/md0 when I tried it on the new 2.6.18
kernel with my Adaptec card. Dunno if this helps or not. The new
sub-system is libata. Is it even possible for any of this to effect
the software RAID array superblock? I doubt it...
