Open-source trouble ticket systems

Thanks for reading this.

I thought there was a thread here recently on open-source ticketing 
systems, but a search for "ticket" in the archives came up empty.

I'm looking for an open-source trouble-ticket system that can be used 
with either Linux or Windows, and I'd appreciate opinions - or a pointer 
to the original thread.
