Freeware - Exercise in futility?

I'm just collecting well thought expressions of points of view, etc. for 
a relatively short speech (Toastmasters) promoting Linux, etc.
Being mentally imaiped myself, I thought why not get see if I can get 
some really smart people to think for me...
