Thanks for the links. I have checked out the spec file 
formats, especially a thread on fedoraforum. The problem is 
that I don't have enough of a programming background and 
especially the time to interpret the spec file format. It 
should be useful to those who maintain rpm based systems, I 
just maintain my home system but work in an unrelated 
profession.
