Ubuntu commercial support is the same as Vista Ultimate?!?!

I have been recommending Ubuntu to friends that have asked, and thought
I would have a look at how much premium support costs. I went the
website and found out that standard 9x5 Desktop Support is $250! I took
a look at Windows Vista, and the comparable price point is Windows Vista
ULTIMATE!!! I couldn't beleive it!
I decided to have a look at RedHat, and although their entry-level
support is only $179, it is only for 30 days for the installation
support, and then just updates from that point forward. Standard 12x5
Desktop is $299. I couldn't seem to find any sort of single-desktop
support pricing on Suse/Novell's site.
Am I totally wrong, or should Linux support pricing be better than that
to compete with Microsoft? Or more importantly, can it be better and
still survive?
This is Microsofts Pricing:
Home - $99
Home Premium - $159
Business - $199
Business Ultimate - $259
AFAIK, all of those come with some sort of direct support, so I am not
sure how the Ubuntu's, RedHat's, and Novell's are justifying the support
costs for the Desktop systems.
Just thought it would make for an interesting discussion,
