IANAL, but I believe it's part of the contract that attorney's sign.
I bet they've been paid plenty up until now. Personally I could care
less if any of their attorney's get paid or not, just as long as SCO
dies a horrible death. I've used their products years ago and hated
them. I preferred AIX or SCO back in those days, now I prefer Linux
of course.
