Just so you don't get your hopes up: OpenOffice will not be blindingly
fast on that machine...especially when trying to do extremely
complicated powerpoint/impress presentations.

Your biggest issue is probably getting drivers for your wireless card.
Linux support for wireless cards is wildly varying, and in the worst
case you have to know what chipset your card uses (note that "Orinoco"
cards were sold with two completely different chipsets, and they didn't
even change the model number).

Most of the software (besides drivers) listed there is probably
unnecessary if you use a modern desktop distro (which Fedora 5 is),
since all the WLAN configuration software you need is included already.
