This is one of addresses I use for Comcast. No quotes:
poll mail.comcast.net with proto POP3 user myusernameoncomcast is
myusername pass mypass fetchall ssl
Some ISPs require a specific host name. Note that I use
mail.comcast.net which is Comcast's POP3 server. I also use ssl.
