Try getting a plug-in battery extender; that's how I use my Zaurus.
Something like <http://www.semsons.com/pdabatexpocp.html>, which is
the one I have currently. I used to have a better one that had an LED
indicating whether it was turned on and a USB port for devices that
can charge via the USB port, but I couldn't find that one again when I
lost it.
