Linux books

I will be teaching Linux for the Desktop again this summer, and since I am 
the "course owner" it is my responsibility to design both the syllabus and 
select the book. One of the things we do in the course is to install both 
SuSE and Fedora. Currently the book we are using is Running Linux, 4th 
Edition, which is getting old (2002).


Linux in a Nutshell, 4th Edition is also a bit old (2003). 

Linux Bible 2005 Edition seems like a more reasonable approach. Also, 
Christopher Negus, its author spoke at the BLU meeting in February after 
Linux World. 

Again, I'm looking for a suggestion for a course book, and it's difficult 
for me to look at a book and decide if it is good for students. (Students 
probably would be Linux newbies).
