Say goodbye to Speakeasy

When I first got DSL, I got Covad.  They contracted with SWBell for a line 
and ran DSL over it.  No phone service, just DSL.  The line was billed to 
Covad, not me.  I don't see why other ISPs could't do the same.  I payed for 
it as part of my DSL bill, not part of my phone bill.  But I think Covad had 
a chunk of equipment at the local CO to terminate the line.  I don't know if 
companies like Speakeasy/Earthlink want to get into that.
