cheaper DSL with static IP than Speakeasy?

I pay $51/month, including tax, for a Comcast cable modem service.  I don't
use the TV service at all, here is how the bill reads:

 Internet   $42.95
 Basic cable $7.95
 Access fee  $0.41
 FCC fee     $0.05

Basic cable went up by $1 this year, otherwise it's about the same as when I
bought it 4 years ago.  Although my IP address is supposedly dynamic, it has
not changed since September 2002 (I host my DNS at EasyDNS and run ddclient
just in case it does).  And the download speed was bumped to 3 megabits
sometime this year.  Upload is in the 0.5 megabit range, I don't know the
exact figure.  Two of my domains are hosted at home, for email and http. 
Comcast does not attempt to block ports 21, 25 or 80; and your dynamic address
is in the public Internet routing tables (some vendors will give you a
10.0.0.0/8 address, yuck).

I give a thumbs-up to Comcast, would not recommend any other service for
self-hosted home power users unless it costs less.  At least in my
neighborhood (north Cambridge, close to the first-ever Continental Cable
cablemodem head end).  And not until they change some of the desirable
characteristics I've listed above (which I'm sure they will eventually).
