I found that this was not always true with my laptop and the BEFSW11.
Every once in a while it would give be .101 or .102.
In any case, with profiles and profile support in Grub, I set up
profiles for the 3 main environments:
home - static IP print to Printer attached to Windows.
NEU - dynamic IP, print to printer in the 2 rooms I use at NEU.
MIT4-370 - static IP for MIT 4-370
Profiles can be set either at boot time, or at any time:
sudo SCPM switch MIT4370
