I seem to be missing my 4 desktop windows on my Linux Task bar?

Hi All,

   I am running SUSE 8.2 on my laptop and I seem to
have turned off or "lost" my 4 desktop windows on my
Linux task bar. Does anyone have any idea on:

   1. How to turn it back on?

   2. How I might have turne dit off or lost it?

Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
