I switched from bb to nagios a while ago and although it takes a little
while to get the initial configuration set up it's a very good system. I
use it to monitor about 60 systems, mostly Linux RH
7.3/8.0/9.0/Fedora/RHEL3, with a couple of WinXP, Cisco, and
miscellaneous boxes thrown in for variety. I've extended the system to
monitor total processes, disk space, load, and a few other details with
perl scripts and once it's all set up it's very reliable.
