First, I prefer 'gcombust'.

Second, check to see if your CD burner is properly configured.  Use:

	cdrecord -scanbus

It should report your CD burner as one of the devices.  If not, hit Winni's 
CD Burner HOWTO (you can send us your lilo.conf file, as well).

No more help until your device is known to be properly configured....
