I have RedHat 7.0 installed here at work. It comes IIRC with ncpfs. (See
rpm -qi ncpfs.) I just use nprint (see man nprint) to send PostScript
files to the network printers. I also set up a local .nwclient file to
make things easier (see man nwclient).
I _could_ set things up to be more seamless, using lpd or some alternative
to run nprint automagically. (See the Printer HOWTO.) But I find that I
usually prefer to print to file and then forward to the printer. In those
instances where I don't, most applications allow you to specify which
command is used to send stuff to the printer. The default is generally
lpd, but I can usually reconfigure the application to use nprint instead.
