Connections to dump()?

Occasionally my logs say stuff like:

> Feb 22 04:01:57 rir portmap[3945]: connect from 129.7.129.7 
to dump(): request from unauthorized host
> Feb 22 04:01:57 rir portmap[3945]: connect from 129.7.129.7 
to dump(): request from unauthorized host

But I've yet to learn what dump() is.
