For one thing, all packages are optimized for pentium-class processors
and higher, which I have found makes a great difference overall. The
installation is a lot easier, prettier, and more customizable. It also
includes a lot more bleeding-edge features that RedHat still lacks, like
ReiserFS, which has been in the Mandrake install for a long time. A
working compiler also comes to mind *cough*. I switched to Mandrake
from RedHat a while ago, and have no intention of going back anytime
soon.
