Now that we've completed the keysigning, here's the procedure for signing
the keys:
1. Get the keys, either individually from a keyserver, or from the keyring
on the blu.org server:
wget http://www.blu.org/meetings/2001/dec/pubring.gpg
2. Import the keys from the keyring:
gpg --import pubring.gpg
3. For each key: (e.g., D5C7B5D9)
gpg --sign-key D5C7B5D9
gpg --send-keys --keyserver pgp.dtype.org D5C7B5D9
When signing each key, you should verify its key id and fingerprint with
the
checkoff sheet from the meeting.
Note that the keyring contains a few keys for people who had planned to
attend
the meeting but never made it. A few of them aren't on the checkoff sheet
because they sent a notice in advance that they couldn't make it. Matt's
wife, Heather Brodeur, was on the checkoff list but not at the meeting,
so you shouldn't sign her key (unless you've verified her identity
separately).
I'll wait a while for everyone to sign the keys and send them to the
keyserver;
let's say a week or so. After that, I'll refresh the keyring on the blu.org
server and send a notice to the list about it.
