[REDHAT] Dell knocks Linux off the desktop (fwd)

...Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the price of the laptop
with Linux was just barely cheaper than the price with Windows, even
though we KNOW they're paying significantly more for Windows. If they had
passed most of the savings on to the consumer, it would have been a better
deal. With a few bucks difference, it makes more sense to buy it with
Windows and make it dual boot. There's no way to know how many Dell
laptops have Linux installed aftermarket (like mine).

And Dell is pleased to announce to drop Linux on Desktops and Laptops.

It would have been nice to see at least an ADD campaign that they offer
Linux as an option on desktops and not to sell a Redhat Linux PC for as
much or more than Windows.
It seems to me that they just offer it on their products but they do not
really care to push it.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
