Video Card / Monitor Recommendations

Hi,
 currently use
Matrox Millennium I, II, G200: well supported, great performance!
S3 Virge: currently use Diamond series (Viper if I rememebr right)

Monitor: at leat 1280x1024 17". You can get a good one for less than
300$ (currently in use CTX series)
another was TrueVision... unknown brand but good performance (bought 2
year ago for 350$).
