Problem with pthreads under RedHat 6.1

Hi.

I am having a problem running software that tries to use the pthread
library. When I run the binary, I receive the following error message:

./uxwdog: error in loading shared libraries: ./uxwdog: symbol
sigprocmask, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libpthread.so.0 with
link time reference


If I issue "ldd uxwdog", I recieve the following information:

        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x4001a000)
        libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x4002b000)
        libcrypt.so.1 => /lib/libcrypt.so.1 (0x4002e000)
        libresolv.so.2 => /lib/libresolv.so.2 (0x4005c000)
        libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 => /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2
(0x4006b000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x400ad000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x400c9000)

So it's trying to use libpthread, this would be version 0.8 under the
RedHat 6.1 installation.

If I issue "nm /lib/libpthread.so |grep sigprocmask" , I see the
following:

         U sigprocmask@@GLIBC_2.0

So basically in my version of libpthread, which I received under the
redHat 6.1 installation, sigprocmask is undefined? Can anyone tell me
how I can resolve this problem?
