going blind

been working with linux for a few months, have a LSL box with a SiS5598
chip set, struggled to figure out how to load the driver from suse after
I played with XF86config the first time.

original and same problem is my display virtual appears to be 1280 x
1024 or 1280 x 768

I want need big type, would like 800 x 600 on my 15 inch monitor

I have been hacking away at XF86config to no avail

Help please. am I looking at the wrong file for the sis5598 chip set???
A sample XF86config file?
