Texinfo is like a meta-hypertext language. You write a texinfo
source file, run texinfo on it, and out pops an "info" file.
Info files are the GNU documentation of choice, and you can access
them from Emacs or from the command line. For instance,

    $ info info "create an info file"

will point you to information on creating an info file using texinfo.
Info files are hypertext in that you jump from node to node following
various links. You can also convert texinfo to HTML.
