``The Board of Directors of The Boston Computer Society (BCS)
last night unanimously voted to cease the operations of the
non-profit organization and dissolve the corporation.
The Board reached this tough decision after discussions
with members and a review of the past and future role of
the Society.''
The press release for this can be seen at
http://www.bcs.org/press-release.html.
At last night's Linux/Unix volunteer team meeting, we unanimously
decided to continue on. We'll be holding our volunteer meetings
on a weekly basis for at least the immediate future, while we
make the transition to a self-sufficient user group. Your participation
is welcome.
Details of the next volunteers meeting will follow.
