Over the last few months, I have put together a defkeymap.map that customizes
the linux console and a corresponding console.el that exploits this customized
console.
You can retrieve a tar archive containing these files from
http://www.research.digital.com/EXTERNAL/CRL/personal/raman/emacspeak/emacs-console.tar
or just go to the emacspeak home page and you will find a link to it.
How to use it:
a) place the defkeymap.map in a reasonable place (I put it in
/usr/local/etc/keytables )
b) Do a "loadkeys < defkeymap.map"
either as root from a shell, or put the necessary line into your rc.m file
c) Place the console.el under
/usr/lib/emacs/19.xx/lisp/term/
What this gives you:
shift-tab, shift-arrows etc work (they produce the same keysyms as they would
under X)
